In a vibrant display of unity and inclusivity, the National Unity Bureau of PAS Youth organized a festive Chinese New Year (CNY) lunch at Restoran Mohd Chan in Shah Alam, Selangor. This groundbreaking event, which took place on 7th of February, brought together diverse communities to celebrate cultural diversity and promote interfaith dialogue.
Among the esteemed attendees were Hafez Sabri, deputy chief of PAS Youth, and Syukri Omar, chief of Selangor PAS Youth, whose presence underscored the party’s commitment to fostering understanding and cooperation across religious and ethnic lines.
The event also saw the participation of luminary figures such as Lum Chih Feng, a renowned YouTuber and social media influencer, and Subash Chandrabose, high committee member for Muafakat Nasional. Their presence added weight to the occasion, emphasizing the importance of cross-cultural engagement and collaboration.

Additionally, notable attendees included Jason Leong, advisor to the Association of Next Gen Christians of Malaysia, Colin Poobalan, activist of Christians for Peace and Harmony Malaysia, Javin Tan, a passionate activist from PAS Supporters Wing, and Edwin Chen, a member of the Bersatu Associate Wing. Their participation further demonstrated the spirit of inclusivity and solidarity that characterized the event.
The festivities commenced with the traditional tossing of yee sang, a symbolic gesture of prosperity and abundance, followed by a sumptuous lunch featuring a delectable array of dishes from various cultural backgrounds.
As a token of appreciation and goodwill, PAS Youth distributed gifts to all attendees, symbolizing their commitment to building bridges and fostering unity among diverse communities.

The CNY lunch provided a platform for meaningful exchanges and networking opportunities, facilitating dialogue and understanding among participants from different backgrounds. It was a testament to the power of inclusivity and solidarity in overcoming barriers and fostering a sense of belonging in a diverse society.
