PAS strongly condemned the shooting and attack incident last Monday near the Imam Ali Mosque in Wadi Al-Kabir, Muscat, Oman which has resulted at least six people being killed and 28 others reportedly injured during the celebration of Ashura Day.
As soon as the terrorist incident occurred, the ISIS terrorist group claimed responsibility for launching the attack and 3 terrorists who carried out the attack were successfully eliminated by the Omani security forces.
Islam forbids any form of violence, what more if it is done to fellow believers.
At the time when the geopolitical situation in West Asia is in a critical state, especially the inhumane attack of the Israeli Zionist regime on the Gaza Strip, this violent attack is seen as an attempt to divert attention from the violence of the Israeli Zionist regime in Gaza or to divide the unity of Muslim countries in West Asia.
Condolences to the people of Oman and the families of the victims involved. We praise to the Oman’s security forces for successfully eliminated the terrorists involved, hence prevent them from taking more lives of innocent Muslims.
May the Sultanate of Oman rise again and continue to defend the fate of the Palestinian people and the independence of the land of Al-Quds.
