Continued rain warning for three days in seven states

KUALA LUMPUR – The Department of Meteorology (MetMalaysia) has issued a continuous rain warning for three days, from November 25 to 27, in seven states.

Kelantan and Terengganu are expected to be severely affected, with continuous very heavy rain at the danger level.

The warning indicates that more than 150 mm of rain is expected to occur within a 24-hour period.

The affected areas in Kelantan include Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang, Pasir Puteh, and Kuala Krai.

In Terengganu, the warning is for Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Kuala Terengganu, and Marang.

Additionally, MetMalaysia has issued a warning of continuous heavy rain at the alert level, which will impact Hulu Perak (Perak), Gua Musang (Kelantan), and Hulu Terengganu, Dungun, and Kemaman (Terengganu).

The alert level indicates that total rainfall exceeding 60 mm is expected in a six-hour period.

Five states are under a continuous rain warning at the alert level, where continuous rain is expected to start in the next one to three days or ongoing rain and thunderstorms are expected to persist.

The states affected are Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak (including Kerian, Larut, Matang, Selama, Kuala Kangsar, and Manjung), and Jerantut and Kuantan in Pahang.
