Taufan Al-Aqsa and the revival of humanitarian values

An international conference, aimed at expressing solidarity with the Taufan al-Aqsa Operation, took place in Tehran on Sunday, January 14, 2024 (equivalent to 2 Rajab 1445 Hijrah). It was held under the auspices of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, organized by the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (al-Majma’ al-‘Alami li Taqrib baina al-Mazahib al-Islamiyyah), centring around the theme of “Taufan al-Aqsa and the Revival of Humanitarian Values“. Distinguished scientists, religious leaders, and community figures from various corners of Islamic countries gathered to lend their support to the Palestinian cause, and standing in solidarity with the oppressed people of Gaza.

The latest statement issued by the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought highlighted the Palestinian issue as one that has unified every corner of the Muslim world. The ongoing struggle in Gaza symbolizes the confrontation between truth and falsehood, with Gaza and all Muslims standing at the frontline against the arrogance of the world and Zionists at an international scale.

Scholars at the conference expressed unwavering support for all fighters, particularly Hamas and Tanzim Jihad groups, and demonstrated solidarity with the oppressed people, urging an immediate halt to the ongoing crimes and the restoration of Palestinian rights. Additionally, participants conveyed sympathy and shared the pain of the Palestinian people who are undergoing through severe tribulation, while also honouring the martyrs of Gaza.

Following a comprehensive analysis of current regional and global developments, including the heinous crimes committed by the Zionist regime and its allies – resulting in the deaths of tens of thousands of children, women, and innocent civilians, as well as injuring tens of thousands of civilians, destruction of settlements and the displacement of hundreds of thousands – the conference passed several resolutions:

  1. The execution of Operation Taufan al-Aqsa is grounded in the divine guidance of Allah SWT, as articulated in surah al-Hajj verses 39-40, permitting Muslims to defend themselves when faced with aggression that forces them out of their hometowns.
  • The execution of Operation Taufan al-Aqsa aligns with the noble verse of the Quran in surah al-Ma’idah verse 32, emphasizing that the unwarranted taking of a human life is akin to slaying all of humanity.
  • Urging to immediately lift the siege imposed on Gaza and dispatch a humanitarian aid mission, encompassing medical assistance, as well as support for water, electricity, and fuel supply. Simultaneously, establish a secure route for the efficient delivery of essential aid to the Gaza Strip.
  • Expressing profound regret at the ineffectiveness and cowardliness of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
  • Strongly condemn the crimes and betrayal of the United States for its comprehensive support of the Israeli regime.
  • Extend support to the resistance operations serving as the forefront fighters in Iraq and Yemen, particularly lauding the courageous actions undertaken by the people of Yemen and its government against the United States and Zionist. Simultaneously, condemn any criminal acts committed by the United States and its allies in the attacks launched on Yemen.
  • Call upon the International Court of Justice to investigate the crimes committed in Palestine subsequent to Operation Taufan al-Aqsa, and ensure a just trial for the perpetrators at the International Court of Justice. Further, appeal to people worldwide, particularly Muslims, to identify and expose the war criminals among the Zionist, while also documenting and publicizing the crimes they have perpetrated.
  • Call for the immediate and unconditional release of Palestinian prisoners consisting of women and children, while endorsing the decision of the United Nations Human Rights Council to initiate an independent investigation into widespread human rights violations across all occupied territories, particularly in the besieged Gaza Strip.
  1. Strongly condemn the forced displacement of the people of the Gaza Strip, underscoring the imperative of preserving the Palestinian people’s presence in their homeland. Emphasize the critical role of the international community in preventing any attempts to forcibly relocate them from the Gaza Strip.
  1. Specify that any collaboration with the Zionist regime, the extremists groups, and those catering to their needs is strictly prohibited. Additionally, urge all Muslim countries to sever, or at the very least, suspend any form of political and economic ties with the Zionist regime, and prohibit any economic and trade activities.
  1. Implore all Muslims to exert every possible effort to contribute to the reconstruction of Gaza through jihad in the form of material and wealth.
  1. Advocate for the cessation of Israeli occupation and the egregious atrocities inflicted upon the Palestinian people.
  1. Extend gratitude to the global community in Asia, Europe, America, and Africa, along with Islamic nations, particularly scholars and religious centers, for their impactful presence in fostering the resurgence of Islam and humanity. Emphasize the imperative to sustain this international support until all the objectives of Operation Taufan al-Aqsa are realized.

The scholars and dignitaries who took part in this conference express their deep pride and heartfelt remembrance for the sacrifices of the martyred fighters. They extend profound respect to the Palestinian fighters and the valiant forces engaged in the struggle. The participants earnestly call upon the international community, all governments, Arab and Muslim nations worldwide, as well as other independent countries, to uphold the rights guaranteed by their shared faith, and emphasize the collective responsibility to support the Palestinian Muslims in their ascent, urging a united effort to safeguard this nation. – HARAKAHDAILY 22/1/2024
