KUALA LUMPUR – Kelantan United FC celebrated their very first win of the 2022 Premier League a 1-0 victory over PDRM FC at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium in Cheras tonight.
The match’s solitary goal was scored by Nigerian import Njoku Jacob in the second half when the 24-year-old converted a panenka penality and became his team’s hero.
The victory made up for the 0-2 loss to Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) II in their opening match previously.
Both teams were equally matched during the first half of today’s match, with PDRM creating five chances compared to Kelantan United’s two, but both teams were only on target only once.
Kelantan United took a more aggressive approach in the second half until they earned a penalty in the 56th minute after PDRM Saiful Hasnol Mohd Raffi defender brought down his opponent in the box.
The 1-0 result means that PDRM FC has lost for the first time this season.
Kelantan United is scheduled to meet FAM-NSC Project Squad while PDRM will take on Terengganu FC 2 next.
