39 babies die at Al-Shifa Hospital due to lack of oxygen

GAZA – Palestinian Health Ministry said in a statement on Saturday that 39 babies died in intensive care unit at Gaza’s Al-Shifa Hospital due to lack of oxygen.

The hospital, located in the Gaza Strip, has been deeply affected by the recent series of attacks carried out by Israel, reported Anadolu Agency.

The Israeli artillery and air bombardment in the vicinity of Al-Shifa Hospital and Gaza neighborhoods has continued unabated for six hours, according to the Palestine TV channel.

On Friday evening, Israeli aircraft intensified their attacks on hospitals in the Gaza Strip, continuing their raids in the vicinity of Al-Shifa Hospital, Indonesian Hospital, Al-Awda Hospital, Al-Quds Hospital and Al-Rantisi Children’s Hospital.

Israel has launched relentless air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip including hospitals, residences, and houses of worship since Oct 7.

At least 11,078 Palestinians have been killed, including 4,506 children and 3,027 women. – Bernama
