The 31-year-old Senegalese star is awaiting a transfer to Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr. The mandatory medical check-up was reportedly expected on Monday evening.

“I know I could have helped this team this season,” the attacker said in an exclusive statement to Sky News. “I wish the club and the fans all the best for the future,” he added.

Bayern Munich left Japan for Singapore on Sunday without Mane.

The transfer fee for Sane’s move to Al-Nasser has been estimated at around €30 million (US$33.2 million).

Mane moved to Munich last summer and had a difficult first season, which included a long-term injury over which he missed the World Cup. He was also involved in a dressing room altercation with fellow forward Leroy Sane.- Bernama
