Heavy traffic reported on major roads tonight

KUALA LUMPUR – Slow and heavy traffic has been reported on major highways as of 10 pm tonight due to an increase in vehicles on the second day of Aidilfitri.

A Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) spokesman said when contacted that northbound traffic was slow and heavy from Yong Peng to Pagoh, the Tangkak rest area to Tangkak, Jasin to Ayer Keroh, the Ayer Keroh overpass restaurant to Simpang Ampat and Pedas/Linggi to Seremban.

“Traffic is also heavy and still slow southbound from South Jitra to Hutan Kampung, Kubang Pasu to Gurun, Gurun to North Sungai Petani, Permatang Pauh to Perai, Changkat Jering to Menora Tunnel and Sungkai to Slim River,” the spokesman said.

LLM also tweeted that traffic on the Kuala Lumpur-Karak expressway was reported to be slow and heavy from Genting Sempah to Gombak.
