KOTA BHARU – Konsortium E-Mutiara Bhd (E-Mutiara) has sold 50,000 bus tickets, for trips to Kelantan from all destinations in the Peninsula, from April 14 until the eve of Aidilfitri, said its executive chairman Che Ibrahim Che Ismail.
He said that since sales opened the company has sold 5,000 tickets daily.
“The company operates between 70 and 80 trips daily to all destinations, to provide services to customers.
“Thus far, we have 20 express buses for the purpose, with the most trips being between Kuala Lumpur and Kota Bharu,” he said.
He said this at a press conference, after presenting zakat (tithe) donations to 300 asnaf recipients from Kampung Panchor, Tebing Tinggi, as well as orphans from Darul Aitam and Yayasan Anak-Anak Yatim Taman Sabariah, at the E-Mutiara office, here today.
Che Ibrahim also said that E-Mutiara had ordered 20 double-decker buses, measuring 13.5 metres in length each, worth RM1.5 million.
“If the company receives two of the 20 buses which are already booked, E-Mutiara is confident of increasing the number of trips to 100 trips per day,” he said.- Bernama
