Job advertisements with salary info receive 50 pct more applications

BUCHAREST – Job advertisements that also specify the salary range receive 40 percent more applications from job seekers, shows a statistical report by online recruitment platform BestJobs.

According to BestJobs data published on Thursday, an overwhelming 98 percent of applicants are interested in knowing this information, and of these, 24 percent say that they would prefer the job advertisement to at least mention the wage range, as an accepted form of transparency.

Also, almost half (49 percent) of the recruiters consider the presentation of the salary in the job ad to be the most efficient, Romanian news agency (Agerpres) reported.

It added that more than a quarter of the active jobs on the platform (27 percent) display the salary offer in the form of a range, attracting by 40 percent more applications.

According to the cited source, 60 percent of employers consider making employees’ salaries transparent, even if only at certain levels, while more than half of recruiters state that if this brought over 50 percent more candidates for job openings, their company would consider including the salary range in the job advertisements.
