Covid-19: Sultan Ibrahim reminds people to remain vigilant

JOHOR BAHRU – The Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar today reminded the people to remain vigilant and not to take the spike in COVID-19 cases and clusters in the state lightly.

In a post on his Facebook page today, the Johor Ruler said people must continue to adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the government in an effort to break the chain of COVID-19 infection.

Sultan Ibrahim said the preventive measures that must always be put into practice by the people include wearing of face masks, observing physical distancing and washing hands regularly.

“People are also reminded to avoid holding any event or social gatherings to prevent exposure to risks of infections.

“People should also take good care of their family members’ health by complying with the SOP,” he said.

His Highness added that the COVID-19 pandemic was a test from Allah but there was always ‘hikmah’ lying underneath every problem.
