Putri Mumtaz Sunnafis Luthfiya accompanied by her mother and father handed over the zakat amounting to RM10,000 to MAIK’s chief zakat officer Ameer Azeezy Tuan Abdullah.

Speaking to Bernama, Putri Mumtaz Sunnafis Luthfiya said that the business zakat was generated from the food replacement product business that she worked on for four months starting in September last year which saw her able to achieve a sales revenue of RM400,000.

“I didn’t think at this young age that I would be able to reach six figures in sales by working on my own products. In fact, despite getting that much sales I also did not forget to fulfill this fourth pillar of Islam.

“I also heeded the advice of my mother Bibi Hasnalinda Zainal Abidin, 46, and father, Mustaman Che Yusof, 60, to do so. I hope that the zakat payment will be able to help the needy,” she said.

Meanwhile, MAIK in its statement said Putri Mumtaz Sunnafis Luthfiya is the youngest zakat payer in Kelantan and hopes that the positive attitude of Putri Mumtaz Sunnafis Luthfiya will be an inspiration to all.

“Together we pray that the wish of the sixth child of eight silbings to become the highest zakat payer of MAIK and help the poor in Kelantan through zakat will come true,” said the statement. – Bernama
