PENDUDUK Kampung Batu Satu pernah mengadu kepada MBM (Majlis Bandaraya Miri) supaya jalan menuju ke rumah mereka diturap dengan tar. Selain jalan raya, mereka turut mengadu masalah banjir terutama jalan masuk di Lot 7764, Kampung Batu Satu, jalan Lutong.
Penduduk yang tinggal di situ telah mengadu masalah itu kepada pihak berkuasa tempatan tetapi setakat ini tiada tindakan diambil. Apabila hujan lebat, air akan bertakung kerana tiada longkang di sekitar kediaman penduduk.
Apabila hujan lebat, jalan raya akan bertakung dan jalan berlubang menyukarkan penduduk untuk menggunakan jalan tersebut terutama untuk keluar masuk rumah.
Kami menggesa pihak berkuasa tempatan mengambil tindakan segera terhadap masalah yang dihadapi penduduk Kampung Batu Satu, terutama masalah jalan dan longkang tersumbat yang perlu diselenggara segera bagi mengelak jalan menuju ke rumah mereka dinaiki air bila musim hujan lebat.
Penduduk turut merungut mengapa masalah jalan raya ini sukar dilaksanakan sehingga mengambil masa terlalu lama untuk diselesaikan. Semoga masalah ini dapat diselesaikan segera tanpa perlu menunggu sehingga tahun baru. Kerjasama dengan pihak berkaitan untuk menyelesaikan masalah ini dengan segera amatlah dihargai.

The problem of flash floods in Kampung Baru Satu needs to be addressed immediately
The residents of Kampung Batu Satu once complained to the MBM (Miri City Council) that the road leading to their houses was paved with tar. Apart from the road, they also complained of flood problems, especially the entrance at Lot 7764, Kampung Batu Satu, Lutong road.
Residents living there have complained about the problem to local authorities but so far no action has been taken. When it rains heavily, the water will stagnate because there are no drains around the residents’ homes.
When it rains heavily, the roads will be stagnant and potholes will make it difficult for residents to use the road, especially to get in and out of the house.
We urge the local authorities to take immediate action on the problems faced by the residents of Kampung Batu Satu, especially the problem of blocked roads and drains that need to be maintained immediately to prevent the road leading to their houses from being flooded during the heavy rainy season.
Residents also complained why the road problem was so difficult to implement that it took too long to resolve. Hopefully, this problem can be resolved immediately without having to wait until the new year. Cooperation with relevant parties to resolve this issue immediately is greatly appreciated.
