PROGRAM Vaksinasi untuk Ekonomi Barisan Hadapan di Sektor Pengangkutan diteruskan dengan pembukaan Pusat Vaksinasi Industri (PPVIN) terbaru di Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas, Johor semalam.
Saya dan Timbalan Menteri Pengangkutan, YB Datuk Haji Hasbi bin Haji Habibollah membuat lawatan ke PPVIN baru untuk sektor maritim dan logistik yang dianjurkan oleh Lembaga Pelabuhan Johor (LPJ) dan Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP).
Program ini telah diluluskan oleh Pasukan Petugas Imunisasi COVID-19 (CITF) dan ia merupakan inisiatif bersama oleh Kementerian Pengangkutan Malaysia (MOT) bersama dengan Kementerian Sains, Teknologi, dan Inovasi (MOSTI) dan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM). PPVIN mula beroperasi semalam 3 Ogos 2021 hingga 11 Oktober 2021.
PPVIN akan memberi manfaat kepada sekitar 27,000 ekonomi barisan hadapan termasuk kontraktor pekerja, pelanggan dan pihak berkepentingan lain dalam sektor industri Johor dan ini seterusnya akan memastikan bahawa pekerja barisan hadapan di sektor maritim dan logistik, terutama di Johor diberi vaksin secepat mungkin.
Pembukaan PPVIN ini adalah sebahagian dari usaha yang lebih besar untuk mempercepatkan pemberian vaksin ke sektor pengangkutan, yang merupakan perkhidmatan penting dalam tempoh Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan dan Pelan Pemulihan Negara, untuk memastikan rantaian bekalan barangan dan kehidupan seharian masyarakat tidak terjejas.
Sehingga 26 Julai 2021, enam (6) PPVIN untuk sektor pengangkutan telah mulai beroperasi untuk mendukung Program Imunisasi COVID-19 Kebangsaan (PICK). PPVIN pertama di Pelabuhan Klang untuk sektor Maritim dan PPVIN kedua di KLIA untuk sektor pengangkutan udara telah memberi manfaat kepada sejumlah 32,243 penerima. Tiga (3) lagi kemudahan untuk sektor pengangkutan awam darat turut dibuka iaitu di Stesen LRT Putra Heights, KL Sentral, dan Kompleks Rapid Bas Cheras Selatan pada 19, 21, dan 26 Julai 2021, yang melibatkan 6,512 pekerja perkhidmatan keretapi dan bas dari Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (LRT, KL Monorel dan perkhidmatan Rapid Bus), MRT Corp., KTMB dan ERL. Selanjutnya, PPVIN RedQ juga telah dibuka mulai 30 Julai 2021 bagi maksud mempercepatkan vaksinasi untuk 2,500 kakitangan AirAsia.
MOT telah menyerahkan senarai 129,267 penama dari kategori teksi atau e-hailing dan 73,394 penama penunggang p-hailing untuk vaksinasi. Berdasarkan data yang direkodkan pada 29 Julai 2021, sekitar 79 peratus pemandu teksi atau e-hailing telah menerima vaksinasi atau temu janji mereka, dan 71 peratus untuk penunggang p-hailing.
Kementerian juga telah mendapat kelulusan daripada CITF untuk membuka PPVIN tambahan untuk sektor pengangkutan di Johor, Pulau Pinang, Pahang, Terengganu, Perak, dan Selangor, serta dos tambahan untuk Pelabuhan Klang untuk mempercepatkan vaksinasi untuk pelaut, pekerja pelabuhan, dan pekerja sektor logistik. Inisiatif ini dianggarkan memberi manfaat kepada lebih daripada 54,000 pekerja sektor pengangkutan.
MOT tetap komited untuk bekerjasama dengan CITF dalam menjayakan PICK dengan memastikan pekerja industri pengangkutan menerima vaksin mereka secepat mungkin.

The Vaccination Programme for Economic Frontliners in the Transport Sector continues with the opening of the latest Industry Vaccination Centre (PPVIN) at Port of Tanjung Pelepas, Johor today.
Deputy Minister of Transport, YB Haji Hasbi bin Haji Habibollah and myself made a visit to the new PPVIN for the maritime and logistics sector which is being organised by Johor Port Authority (LPJ) and Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP).
This programme has been approved by the COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) and it is a joint initiative by the Ministry of Transport (MOT) together with the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI) and Ministry of Health (KKM). The PPVIN is scheduled to start operating today 3rd August 2021 until 11th October 2021.
The PPVIN will benefit around 27,000 economic frontliners inclusive of employees, contractors, customers and other related stakeholders in Johor industrial sector and this subsequently will ensure that frontline workers in the maritime and logistics sector, especially in Johor are being vaccinated at soonest possible.
The opening of these PPVIN is part of larger efforts to expedite delivery of vaccines to the transport sector, which is an essential service during the Movement Control Order period and the National Recovery Programme, to ensure that the movement of people and goods, and daily lives of people are not hindered.
As of 26 July 2021, six (6) PPVINs for the transportation sector have commenced operations to support the National COVID-19 Immunization Program (PICK). The first PPVIN at Port Klang for the Maritime sector and the second PPVIN at KLIA for the aviation transport sector benefited a total of 32,243 recipients.
Three (3) more facilities for the land public transport sector were also opened at Putra Heights LRT Station, KL Sentral, and Cheras Selatan Rapid Bus Complex on 19, 21, and 26 July 2021, involving 6,512 rail and bus service workers from Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (LRT, KL Monorail and Rapid Bus services), MRT Corp., KTMB and ERL. Furthermore, PPVIN RedQ has also been opened from 30 July 2021 for the purpose of expediting vaccination for 2,500 AirAsia employees.
MOT had submitted a list of 129,267 names from the taxi/e-hailing category and 73,394 p-hailing riders’ names for vaccination. Based on the existing data as at 24th July 2021, some 79% taxi/e-hailing drivers have received their vaccination/appointments, and 71% for p-hailing riders.
The Ministry has obtained CITF’s approval to open additional PPVIN for the transport sector in Johor, Penang, Pahang, Terengganu, Perak, and Selangor, as well as additional doses for Port Klang to expedite vaccinations for seafarers, port workers, and logistics sector employees. This initiative is estimated to benefit more than 54,000 transport sector workers.
MOT remains committed to working with the CITF in making the PICK a success by ensuring the transport industry workers receive their vaccines as soon as possible.
