KUALA TERENGGANU – Terengganu Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar has been asked to limit his physical movements after suffering internal injury to his knee ligament.
His political secretary, Muhyidin Abdul Rashid said in a statement that Ahmad Samsuri had successfully undergone ACL reconstruction and cartilage repair surgery at a hospital Nov 1.
He said doctors advised Ahmad Samsuri to reduce any movements that might affect his healing process that was expected to take at least six weeks.
“The surgery was done as there was internal injury to the knee ligament due to a sprain he sustained when he braced himself from falling during a recreational activity.
“The Menteri Besar, however, will strive to continue with all administrative affairs and government, agencies and government-linked companies’ meetings, as well as attend the State Legislative Assembly sitting as usual,” he added.
