UMAT Islam di seluruh dunia memperingati Maulid Nabi atau ulang tahun kelahiran Nabi Muhammad S.A.W pada setiap 12 Rabiul Awal. Sejarah Hari Keputeraan Nabi adalah perjalanan penting dalam kehidupan Nabi dan juga agama Islam.
Dari Abu Qatada al-Ansari R.A, Rasulullah S.A.W pernah ditanya mengenai puasa pada hari Isnin, lalu dia menjawab:
“Hari itu adalah hari saya dilahirkan, hari aku diutus atau diturunkan wahyu untukku.”
(Hadis Riwayat Muslim)
Dalam riwayat lain, dalam sebuah Hadis dari Usamah bin Zaid, dia ditanya mengenai alasan sering berpuasa pada hari Isnin dan Khamis. Dia menjawab:
“Dua hari ini amal itu dilaporkan kepada Rabbul alamin, dan saya ingin, ketika amal saya dilaporkan, saya dalam keadaan berpuasa.”
(Hadis Riwayat An-Nasa’i, dan dinilai Hasan Sahih oleh al-Albani)
Sebilangan besar ulamak bersependapat bahawa al-Quran pertama kali diturunkan kepada Nabi Muhammad S.A.W pada 17 Ramadan pada hari Isnin. Hari Isnin juga merupakan hari kerasulan Muhammad.
Setiap orang yang beriman dituntut untuk mencontohi sifat terpuji. Ini kerana Islam menekankan keindahan akhlak. Oleh kerana itu, salah satu alasan Nabi S.A.W diutuskan kepada umat manusia adalah untuk menyempurnakan keindahan akhlak. Ini disebut berdasarkan Hadis Sahih dari Abu Hurairah R.A, bahawa Nabi S.A.W bersabda:
“Sesungguhnya tidak aku diutuskan melainkan untuk menyempurnakan kebaikan akhlak.”
[Diriwayatkan oleh Ahmad (8952)] [Syeikh Syu’aib al-Arna’outh menilai hadis ini sebagai sahih dan rantaiannya kuat]
Umat Islam digalakkan untuk mengikuti sunnah Nabi dengan mengamalkan ajarannya. Sambutan memperingati Hari Keputeraan Nabi adalah salah satu cara bagi umat Islam untuk mengingati kembali perjuangan dakwah Rasulullah.
Semoga umat Islam bersatu dalam memperjuangkan dan mempertahankan Islam dan melindungi imej Rasulullah daripada terus dihina oleh pelampau anti-Muslim. Ikuti cara-cara akhlak Rasulullah dan para Sahabat dalam menyampaikan mesej Islam ke seluruh pelosok dunia.
Islam bukanlah ajaran ekstremis seperti dakwaan mereka yang anti-Islam dan tidak mendapat maklumat mengenai Islam yang sebenar.
Islam adalah ketaatan dan tunduk sepenuhnya kepada perintah Allah. Secara terminologi, Islam berasal dari Bahasa Arab, iaitu Islam bermaksud kedamaian, ketenangan, dan keharmonian. Allah mempunyai sifat As-salam yang bermaksud Memberi Ketenangan. Orang yang beriman kepada Allah dan menjalankan perintahnya disebut orang Islam. Muslim adalah untuk membawa kedamaian kepada dirinya sendiri dan juga kepada masyarakat alam semesta.
Tema sambutan Maulidur Rasul adalah ‘Ummah Rabbani, Negara Harmoni’. Walaupun rakyat Malaysia terdiri daripada pelbagai bangsa dan agama, kita tetap menikmati kehidupan yang harmoni dengan menghormati kepercayaan dan adat budaya bangsa lain. Elakkan mengkritik kepercayaan agama lain, semoga rakyat Malaysia terus hidup dengan aman dan harmoni.

Prophet Muhammad S.A.W was sent to perfect the moral beauty of mankind
Muslims around the world commemorate the Prophet’s Birthday or the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW on every 12 Rabiul Awal. The history of the Prophet’s Birthday is an important journey in the life of the Prophet and also the religion of Islam.
From Abu Qatada al-Ansari R.A, Rasulullah S.A.W was once asked about fasting on Monday, then he replied:
“That day is the day I was born, the day I was sent or sent a revelation for me.”
(HR. Muslim)
In another narration, in a hadith from Usamah bin Zaid, he was asked about the reason he often fasted on Mondays and Thursdays. He replied:
“These two days the charity was reported to Rabbul Alamin, and I wish, when my charity was reported, I was in a state of fasting.”
(HR. An-Nasa’i and judged Hasan sahih by al-Albani)
Most scholars agree that the Qur’an was first revealed to the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W on the 17th of Ramadan on Monday. Monday is also the day of Muhammad’s apostleship.
Every believer is required to emulate the praiseworthy nature. This is because Islam emphasizes the beauty of morality. Therefore, one of the reasons the Prophet SAW was sent to mankind is to perfect the beauty of morality. This is mentioned based on the authentic hadith of Abu Hurairah R.A, in which the Prophet S.A.W said:
“Indeed, I was not sent except to perfect moral goodness.”
[Narrated by Ahmad (8952)] [Sheikh Syu’aib al-Arna’outh evaluates this hadith as authentic and its chain is strong]
Muslims are encouraged to follow the sunnah of the Prophet by practicing his teachings. Celebrating the Prophet’s Birthday is one way for Muslims to remember the struggle of the Prophet’s da’wah.
May Muslims unite in fighting for and defending Islam and protect the image of Rasulullah from being further insulted by anti-Muslim extremists. Follow the moral ways of Rasulullah and his companions in conveying the message of Islam to all corners of the world.
Islam is not extremist teaching like those who claim to be anti-Islam and do not get information about true Islam.
Islam is obedience and complete submission to the command of Allah. In terminology, Islam comes from the Arabic language, which means Islam means peace, tranquility, and harmony. Allah has the nature of As-salam which means to give peace. People who believe in Allah and carry out His commands are called Muslims. Muslims are to bring peace to themselves and also to the society of the universe.
The theme of the Maulidur Rasul celebration is ‘Ummah Rabbani, Negara Harmoni.’ Although Malaysians are of various races and religions, we still enjoy a harmonious life with respect for the beliefs and cultural customs of other races. Avoid criticizing other religious beliefs, May Malaysians continue to live in peace and harmony.
