Sabah Tithe Centre contributes RM10k to Kepayan prison

KOTA KINABALU – The Sabah Tithe Centre today handed over RM10,000 Kepayan Prison which is placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCD) until Nov 2.

The contribution was handed over by Sabah Special Functions Minister Datuk Arifin Mohd Arif to Kepayan and Labuan Prisons director Nora Musa.

Arifin said the contribution was to help the Kepayan Prison’s staff who are currently under quarantine to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the state.

The contributions from the Sabah Tithe Centre also included tents and face masks, he told reporters after handing over the contributions to the Kepayan Prison here today.

Also present was Sabah Mufti Datuk Bungsu Aziz Jaafar.

The Kepayan Prison is being placed under EMCO for 14 days since last Oct 21. It affects a total of 3,511 people comprising 2,914 inmates and 597 Prisons Department staff.
