KUALA LUMPUR – Thailand League One side BG Pathum United FC are reportedly keen to sign Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) hotshot Diogo Luis Santo.

According to several media social reports in Thailand, the Thai League One leaders are ready to offer the 33-year-old Brazilian hitman a lucrative salary to prise him away from JDT, for whom he has shone since joining them last season from another Thai club, Buriram United.

Meanwhile, a JDT spokesperson, when contacted by Bernama, said: “I can’t make any comment on the matter since it’s up to our management to decide on Diogo’s future.

“Any transfer of our players will be informed through our social media page,” she added.

During his four-year stint with Buriram United from 2015-2018, Diogo helped the club clinch four trophies in 2015, namely the Thai League One, Thailand FA Cup, Thailand Championship Cup and Mekong Club Championship.

The following year, he helped them retain the Thailand League Cup, Thailand Champions Cup and Mekong Club Championship.

Three Malaysian players — Norshahrul Idlan Talaha (BG Pathum United FC); Dominic Tan Jun Jin and Mohamadou Sumareh (Police Tero FC) — are also plying their trades in the Thai League One.
