Post offices remain open in Kota Setar

KUALA LUMPUR – All post offices and Pos Laju outlets within Kota Setar, Kedah will remain open for business throughout the administrative Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) period imposed on the area from Sept 11 until Sept 25.

Pos Malaysia in a statement today, however advised its customer to expect delays in deliveries especially to business premises there throughout the administrative EMCO period.

“All customers must comply with all standard operating procedures which include proper wearing of face masks, physical distancing and registration of personal details when visiting post offices and Pos Laju outlets.

“Pos Malaysia will continue to monitor the situation and will update our customers on any changes to our operations. Our priority is always the safety of our customers and employees,” the statement said.

On Sept 10, Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced the enforcement of administrative EMCO in 28 areas in Kota Setar, Kedah after taking into account the increase in COVID-19 positive cases involving Sungai and Tawar clusters in the district.
