Thailand’s Police Tero FC sign Sumareh

KUALA LUMPUR – Thai League 1 side, Police Tero FC has completed the signing of naturalised Malaysian citizen, player Mohamadou Sumareh from Pahang on the last day of Thailand’s transfer window deadline for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old Gambian-born came through the Malaysian League (M-League) side’s Police and Perlis before joining Pahang and made more than 100 appearances with 22 goals for the Tok Gajah.

Police Tero FC in their official Facebook account confirmed the signing Sept 7.

“Police Tero FC confirmed the signing of Mohamadou Sumareh, who joins the club to strengthen the team ahead of the 2020/2021 league campaign which starts on Sept 12.

“Sumareh will wear number 13 for Police Tero FC in the campaign,” said the statement.

Sumareh is set to reunite with his national teammate Dominic Tan who signed a two-year contract with Police Tero FC in July, last year.

Sumareh had not been training with Pahang for almost a month.

He did not feature in Pahang’s 2-3 defeat to Malaysia Super League title holders Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in Kuantan, last month.
