KUALA LUMPUR – More than 4,000 vacancies are being offered by 85 companies participating in the Merdeka 2020 PenjanaKerjaya Carnival Week which is ongoing nationwide until Saturday.
Human Resource Minister, Datuk Seri M. Saravanan said the programme, held in conjunction with the 63rd National Day celebration this year, was in line with the government’s initiative to ensure that those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic could get other jobs.
He said various activities organised during the carnival week, included special open interviews for job seekers in the country.
“The ministry hopes that this noble effort by providing employment services in this National Month could help job seekers get hired, thus reducing the country’s unemployment rate.
“Visitors are also reminded to comply with the standard operating procedure implemented at each carnival location,” he said in a statement today.
